Who we are?
About us & our beginnings The idea began with students from the Faculty of Medicine who sought to reduce the effects of the war and the divisions that occurred after World War II, and it was through the principle of student exchange. Indeed, the first meeting was held that witnessed the establishment of the “International Federation of Medical Students - IFMSA” in Copenhagen, Denmark in May 1951. The first members of this new organization were England, Austria, the Federal Republic of Germany, Finland, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Denmark. Over the years, the organization expanded significantly until it reached 1.3 million members of medical students in 130 countries, and here we turn to the International Federation of Medical Students - Egypt "IFMSA - Egypt" "IFMSA - Egypt", a full member of the Federation since 1972, branches out to all governorates of Egypt through local associations and is represented in Aswan Governor...
